Contemporary russian painters. Pochitskii

His work was very personal, he went to himself his own way, his own way, and this path was not at all simple. Having received his initial art education in Belarus, Vasily Pochitsky came to Moscow in the late eighties. The Vague pre-perestroika period of persecution of unofficial artists ended and Pochitsky got into an artistic environment where support for a new alternative conceptual art was felt, a non-standard idea was welcomed, new forms of his canvases are inhabited by a hero from other sometimes incomprehensible and unknown myths. Yes, and the pseudonym Pochitsky takes is very peculiar - Dr. Klein, this is both a healer and a magician and a representative of unknown worlds who, with his works, gives a certain mystical sound hinting at transformation... change... the horse turns into a unicorn, the caterpillar into a butterfly.. And the multicolored ropes with which wings are tied to a frog, and a horn to a unicorn, and these are symbols of otherworldly interference, an attempt to change familiar things. The artist 's talent is manifested in his ability to show us something unusual , arousing our curiosity and the ability to see the beautiful .
